A Heart of Gratitude: ValuCare Returns to DSWD Sanctuary Center to Share Hope and Kindness

Some places leave a lasting mark on our hearts. Others remind us why compassion, kindness, and service matter. For ValuCare, the DSWD Sanctuary Center is both.

Located within the Welfare Ville Compound in Mandaluyong City, the Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD) Sanctuary Center serves as a refuge for adult women who have experienced abandonment, neglect, and difficult life circumstances. As a 24-hour residential care facility, it provides not only shelter but also essential care, psychosocial support, life skills development, and opportunities for healing and reintegration into society.

For the women who call the Sanctuary home, it represents a place where dignity is restored, confidence is nurtured, and hope finds room to grow.

Returning with a Heart for Service

  • On October 22, 2026, ValuCare returned to the DSWD Sanctuary Center for another meaningful day of service as part of its ongoing Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) initiatives. Building on the connections established during its initial visit on December 18, 2025, the team came together once again to share time, resources, and compassion with the residents and the people who care for them.

The visit was made possible through the leadership and participation of ValuCare Chairman Mr. Moses Hee; President and CEO Dr. Elmer Palomata; Chief Operating Officer Mr. Franz Joie Araque; Chief People Officer Ms. Erika Denice Castillo; Head of Medical Operations Mr. Richard Argarin; Medical Director Dr. Aldwin Aganon; ICT Head Mr. Erickson Salvador; and the Human Resources team, together with dedicated ValuCare employees.

Through simple yet meaningful acts of kindness, the team hoped to bring joy to the residents, strengthen relationships, and create moments that would remind everyone of the value of genuine human connection.

Small Acts, Lasting Impact

  • As ValuCare continues its partnership with the community through meaningful outreach initiatives, the experience at the Sanctuary Center reinforces an important lesson: making a difference does not always require grand gestures.

Sometimes, it begins with showing up. With giving what we can. With sharing our time, listening to others, and making people feel seen, valued, and remembered.

The return visit on October 22, 2026, reaffirmed ValuCare’s commitment to extending care beyond healthcare services and the workplace. It demonstrated how collective efforts, guided by gratitude and compassion, can help nurture connections and create meaningful experiences for the communities that need them.

At ValuCare, care is more than a service we provide. It is a commitment we live out through our actions, our relationships, and our willingness to make a difference.

As we continue this journey, may we always remember that true success is not measured solely by what we achieve, but also by the lives we touch and the hope we help restore.

With a heart full of gratitude, ValuCare remains committed to turning compassion into action—one meaningful act of kindness at a time.
